Margaret E. "Peg" (Myette) Crowley, 83, of New Bedford died Wednesday February 26, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Crowley,and daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mary Louise (O'Keefe) Myette.

Mrs. Crowley was born in Little Dove, Nova Scotia and had lived in New Bedford since 1936. She was a 1938 graduate of New Bedford High School, and attended Southeastern Massachusetts University for 2 years in the 1960's.

She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.

Mrs. Crowley was formerly employed as a beautician at Cherry & Webb, and also owned and operated Peggy's Beauty Salon in the Olympia Building, both in Downtown New Bedford.

Survivors include a son, Arthur J. Crowley, Jr., of New Bedford; and 2 grandchildren, Nicholas P. Crowley and Rebecca L. Coleman.
