Margaret "Peggy" Fisher

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Fisher, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Born in Governors Island, New York, Peggy grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, graduating from Holy Family Catholic School in 1958. She moved to Florida in 1964, first making her home in the Miami area and later settling in Titusville in 1989. She spent many years as a joyful snowbird, always embracing the best of each season.

Peggy lived a life full of adventure, love, and curiosity. She loved to travel with her late husband, William Henry Fisher II, a pilot, and together they explored many countries across Europe-though Ireland held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially boating, gardening, and golfing, and she found immense joy in cooking, canning, and sharing those homemade comforts with the people she loved. Peggy adored animals, especially her beloved dog Ginger and her grand-dog Teddy. Above all, she was a devoted and remarkable mother whose love shaped the many generations that followed her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Henry Fisher II, who passed in 2010; her daughter, Lynne M. Fisher; and by her parents, Dr. Cameron and Margaret Durant.

She is survived by her large and loving family including her children, William "Buddy" Fisher (Edwina), Scott Fisher (Maria), Karen Wagner, Maureen Terrones (David), and Michelle Owens (Mike); her grandchildren, Kaleigh Wotton (Brian), Kyle Fisher (Samantha), Dylan Fisher, Lauren Fisher, Alesha Fisher, Matthew Wagner (Tiffany), Justin Terrones, Ryan Terrones, Kyle Robertson (Julie), Claire D'Amore (Doug), Kevin Robertson, and Caitlin May (Daniel); and her great-grandchildren, Connor, Keegan, Cameron, Karter, Liam, Bryce, Emma, Madilyn, Calla, Delilah, Eleanor, Tyler, Keaton, Sawyer, Emma, Cooper, Nora, Lily, and Chloe.

Peggy will be remembered for her warmth, her adventurous spirit, and the immense love she shared with all who knew her.

Her visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 from 9:30-10:30am in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford follow by her Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Lawrence Church.
