Margaret E. (Houghton) Lafferty, 72, of East Freetown died November 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late Michael E. Lafferty.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Richard D. and Dorothy (Sheehan) Houghton, she lived in Dartmouth most of her life before moving to East Freetown.
She was formerly employed by New England Telephone for many years until her retirement. In retirement, she was employed at Lowes.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, crafts and volunteering at the Special Olympics.
Survivors include her son, Michael Lafferty, II and his wife Kelly of East Freetown; a daughter, Megan Wakefield and her husband Russell of dartmouth; 5 grandchildren, Cody Lafferty, Emma Lafferty, Oliver Wakefield, Ava Wakefield and Makenna Wakefield.
