Maria J. (Ramos) DaLuz, 84, of New Bedford died September 11, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Francisco DaLuz.
Born in Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Jose C. Andrade and Amalia G. Ramos, she lived in New Bedford since 2007.
She enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Amalia DaLuz of New Bedford, Maria DaLuz of Praia, Cape Verde and Aldina Evora of Connecticut; a son, Jose DaLuz of Holland; 2 brothers, Cesario Andrade and Claudio Andrade; a sister, Maria Martins; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Silvestre Andrade, Pedro Andrade and Antonio Andrade.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 14th from 4-8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Cape Verde.
