Maria L. (daCruz) DosSantos, 84, of New Bedford passed away Friday July 26, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI.  She was the wife of Antonio R. DosSantos.

Born in Ratoeira, Portugal, the daughter of the late Jose and Margarida (Ferreira) daCruz, she resided in New Bedford since 1972.Maria was formerly employed as a stitcher at Cliftex Corporation and Justin Clothing until her retirement.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A very generous person, she was always ready to help anyone in need.

She is survived by her husband, Antonio; her children, John Santos and his wife Karen and Gisela Magalhaes and her husband Daniel; her sisters, Barbara DeJesus and Rosaria daCruz; her grandchildren, Kristian Santos, Alyssa Santos, Daniel Magalhaes, and Timothy Magalhaes; her great-grandchildren, Kyrie DeBarros and Kaiden DeBarros; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Maria Leonor and Eduarda Paixao.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday July 30th at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 9-10:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Autism Association, P.O.
