Maria Lena (Fortes) Gomes, 88, formerly of Bedford Towers, New Bedford died Friday March 5, 2010 at Our Lady's Haven. She was the wife of the late Antonio "Totoi" Gomes.

She is survived by two sisters, Anna Krakowiak of New Bedford and Rosa J. Vieira of Dartmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
