Maria "Patricia" Torres Moreno, 55, of New Bedford died June 16, 2022 at Brigham & Women's Hospital.
Born in Tado, Choco, Columbia, daughter of the late Jael P. Torres Murillo and Maria L. Moreno Rayo, she lived in New Bedford.
She was employed as a manager at The Original Bob's Discount in New Bedford
She was a beautiful person who brought joy to those she met. A devout Catholic, she set up a foundation in Columbia to help families in need.
Survivors include her fiancé, Richard Kinney; her siblings, Jairo Ordilio Torres Moreno, Maria Doralia Torres Moreno, Juan Evangelista Torres Moreno, Fernando Emilio Torres Moreno, Yanit Torres Moreno, Faysulis Torres Moreno and Janeth Torres Moreno; her extended family, her second mother, Rosalia Mangual who she called "la Mamá" and Joanna Romero who she called "hermanita" and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
Her visiting hour will be held on Tuesday, June 21st from 4-5 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will be in Columbia.
