Marie Jeanette (Gomes) Petruck, 68, of South Easton died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at home after a long illness. She was the wife of Mark G. Petruck.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Eugenia (Duarte) Gomes, she was raised in New Bedford and later lived in Fairhaven and South Easton.

Jeanette was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Kinyon-Campbell Business School.

She was formerly employed as a medical records clerk for many years at Southcoast Hospitals and Kindred Hospital in Stoughton.

Jeanette enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, watching the Patriots, going to the beach, cooking and spending time with her granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; two sons, Jeffrey Barros and his wife Stephanie and Matthew Barros and his partner Brittany Jarrin; her sister, Joanie Desnoyers and her husband Ron; her brother, John Gomes, Jr. and his wife Ana; her granddaughter, Liliana Marie Barros; two nieces, Monique Desnoyers and Jacqueline Gomes; and her cat, Martini.

Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
