Marilyn A. (Bennett) Poulos, 82, of New Bedford died Thursday December 16, 2010. She was the wife of the late Thomas Poulos.

A lifelong resident of New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Helen M. (Williams) Bennett.

She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.

Mrs. Poulos and her late husband owned and operated Maxie's Deli in Downtown New Bedford for many years. She later worked at the New Bedford Waterfront Visitor Center.

She had been a docent at the Whaling Musuem and a volunteer for the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda, Leslie, and Lisa.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Visiting hours are omitted. Burial in the Mass. National Cemetery will be private. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
