Mark R. DaCosta, 51, of South Boston, formerly of Dartmouth, died Thursday March 20, 2008. He was the husband of Melissa Rand-DaCosta.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Robert DaCosta and Florence (Leandro) DaCosta, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life before moving to Boston ten years ago. He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School.

Mr. DaCosta was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; his parents; two children, Keith and Kristen DaCosta, both of Dartmouth; a stepson, Kyle Audette of Dartmouth; two brothers, Dale DaCosta and his wife Leslie of Dartmouth, and Todd DaCosta and his wife Peggy of Milton; and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan, and Hailey.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Funeral Services and burial will be private.
