Mary A. (Cardoza) Carreiro, 86, of Fairhaven died Wednesday December 19, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late George Carreiro, an Army veteran of World War II.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Anthony S. and Mary (Rose) Cardoza, she lived in Fairhaven for many years.

She is survived by her son, Stephen G. Carreiro and his wife Susan of Assonet.

She was the sister of the late Dorothy Oliveira.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9 AM at the Fall River Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2695 North Main St., Fall River. Entombment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be private. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett.
