Mary E. (O'Brien) Cabral, 77, of New Bedford died February 26, 2024 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, daughter of the late Gerald J. and Mary A. (McCarthy) O'Brien, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School until her retirement.
She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her brother, Patrick O'Brien of New Bedford; a daughter-in-law, Nelia Cabral of New Bedford; her son David Cabral; and several grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Paul Cabral, Jr. and the sister of the late Vivian Niles, Margaret Lopez, Sheila Jones, Robert O'Brien and Gerald O'Brien.
Her visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Service at 12:30 PM in the funeral home.
