Mary E. (Cosman) Edison, 87, of Rochester died June 24, 2002 at the Atrium Nursing Center after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Edison and daughter of the late George W. and Ellen (Tilly) Cosman.

Mrs. Edison was born in Cambridge, MA and lived in Wellesley, MA before moving to Rochester in 1976.

She enjoyed gardening and needle craft.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol J. Hardy of Marion; 2 sons, Thomas W. Edison and Robert G. Edison, both of Hillman, Michigan; a sister, Alice Gross of Lumni Island, Washington; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Service will be private. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery in Rochester.
