Mary T. Higgins, 80, of Mattapoisett died April 21, 2004 unexpectedly at home.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth Higgins.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Kato, she had lived in California for many years before moving to Mattapoisett in 1990.

She enjoyed reading.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Makuch of Mattapoisett; a brother, Robert Kato of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews, including John j. Makuch, and his wife Donnalee, of Mattapoisett; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was the sister of the late Josephine, Charles, John, Sally, Julie and Eddie.

Her Funeral Service was private.
