Mary K. (Kelly) Lopes, of New Bedford died August 26, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Manuel R. Lopes, Jr.

Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Brady) Kelly, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.

She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and was a member of the Holy Name Women's Guild.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, James M. Haworth of Acushnet; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was the sister of the late Helen K. Haworth, Catherine K. Leith and John J. Kelly.

A private Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, August 28th in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
