Mary (Mello) Peitavino, 93, of New Bedford died May 15, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Silvio "Sil" Peitavino.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antone and Rose (Cardoza) Mello, she lived in New Bedford all her life.
Mrs. Peitavino was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in New Bedford.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Downey of New Bedford; a son, Kenneth C. Peitavino and his wife Lorraine of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Debra Peitavino, Kathleen Mary Ferreira, and Scott Peitavino; 3 great-grandchildren, Jillian Rose Ferreira, Elyse Anne Ferreira, and Tanner Peitavino.
She was the sister of the late Charles Mello, Albert DeMello, Theresa Mello, and Laurena Maloney.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, May 17th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Tarkiln Hill Rd., at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday, May 16th from 4-7 PM.
Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
