Mary E. Phaneuf, 88, of New Bedford died Tuesday Octber 25, 2005 at New Bedford Health Care.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Sylvanie J. and Elizabeth (Sillery) Phaneuf, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a communicant of St. James Church.

Miss Phaneuf was formerly employed at the New Bedford Free Public Library until her retirement.

She is survived by her sister, Loretta E. Phaneuf of New Bedford.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday October 28, 2005 at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday October 27, 2005 from 2-4 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
