Mary Alice (Benoit) Przymierski, 93, of New Bedford died Wednesday August 13, 2003 at Alden Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhaven after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Teodor Przymierski.

Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Philip P. and Mary (Connell) Benoit, she had lived in Wallingford, Connecticut for 20 years before returning to live in New Bedford in 1977.

She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in New Bedford.

Mrs. Przymierski was formerly employed as an assembler at John I. Paulding Company for 32 years until 1957. In Connecticut, she later was employed at W.T. Grant Company, where she was the manager of the store's Curtain Department, and Barker's Department Store.

She enjoyed needlework, line-dancing and had many fond memories of traveling. She was a former active member of the Melville Towers Senior Citizens. She especially loved the time spent with her great-grandchildren. Her positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Survivors include 3 sons, Don Przymierski of Cambodia, Robert E. Przymierski of Arizona, and Theodore K. Przymierski of New Bedford; a daughter, Shirley L'Italien of Mattapoisett; her son-in-law, Leonard Leite of Dartmouth; 11 grandchildren, Leslie Baszak, Richard Leite, Kerry Riggs, Thomas L'Italien, James L'Italien, Maria Przymierski, Loren Keith Alexander, Deirdre Enos, Kenith Przymierski, Raquel Powers and Jennifer Sheets; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was the mother of the late Claire A. Leite, grandmother of the late Lorrie Jeanne Leite, and sister of the late Pascal P. Benoit.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 18, 2003 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday August 17, 2003 from 4-8 PM.
