Maureen A. (Aceino) Keenan, 97, of New Bedford passed away Friday February 21, 2025. She was the wife of the late Thomas H. Keenan.  Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Matthew and Agnes (Hogan) Aceino, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Holy Ghost Hospital School of Nursing in Cambridge.  Maureen was formerly employed as a nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for over 30 years.  After her retirement, she worked at Savoy Convalescent Home and Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She had been a volunteer at the Schwartz Center for Children and Holy Family-Holy Name School.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. Lawrence Church.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Keenan of Mattapoisett, Thomas Keenan and his wife Lori of Hingham, and Kathleen Dimock and her husband Matthew of Canton; her grandchildren, Maureen and Kaitlin Keenan and Thomas and Abigail Dimock; and her nephew, Lawrence Ogara and his wife Stephanie.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Patricia Ogara and Matthew Aceino.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 26th at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Church.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
