Michael P. Gonsalves, 52, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday July 20, 2021 from complications of Covid-19.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Judith (Sylvia) Grajales, he lived in New Bedford all of his life. He was well known as "Big Mike" throughout the community.

He is survived by five children, Jaileigh Chumack, Shaniah Chumack, Ciara Chumack, Victoria Gonsalves, and Michael Gonsalves, Jr.; his siblings, Rhonda Gonsalves, Debbie Gonsalves, Nicole Rivera, Tammy Grajales, William Grajales, and Juan Grajales; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth Gonsalves and Brian Gonsalves.
