Michael R. Hay, 48, of New Bedford died June 6, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital unexpectedly.

He was the former husband of Margaret (Burke) Hay of New Bedford and son of Betty A. (Marston) Hay of Richmond, VA and the late Edgar L. Hay.

Mr. Hay was born in Amarillo, Texas and spent the last 20 years in Newport, RI and New Bedford.

He was a member of the Barrington Baptist Church in Barrington, RI.

Survivors include his mother; his former wife; a brother, David B. Hay of Richmond, VA; 2 nieces.

His Services will be private.
