Michael W. Correia, 34, of New Bedford passed away tragically on Wednesday October 20, 2010.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Lorri (Souza) Correia and Michael W. Ferreira, he lived in the New Bedford area all of his life.

He enjoyed hunting, playing basketball, working out at the YMCA, and spending summers on West Island.

Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Aaliyah; a sister, Angie DeBortoli; a brother, Travis Cloutier; a niece, Nariah; a nephew, Kyle; his grandmothers, Angelina Souza and Barbara Ferreira; his aunts, Kathy, Robin, Sherry, Linda, and Elaine and her husband Russell; an uncle, Richard Ferreira; and ten cousins.

He was the grandson of the late Horacio "Babe" Ferreira and Robert "Bob" Souza.

His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM.
