Michelle M. (Nobre) Mattos, 57, of Onset passed away Wednesday March 18, 2020 unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of Paul R. Mattos.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Lucille P. (Lopes) Nobre and the late Phillip C. Nobre, she lived in Onset for the past 37 years. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Michelle was employed as a supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts MassHealth Insurance Program in Taunton.

She loved shopping, traveling, crocheting blankets, and cooking. She was an organizer who enjoyed helping other people. She also loved taking walks down by the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria Mattos; two sisters, Cheryl Fortes and Darlene Centeio; her mother-in-law, Dominga Mattos; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Jack Mattos.
