Mildred E. (Olsen) Perry, 94, of Fairhaven died August 13, 2008 peacefully at the Oaks Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Marshall Perry.
Born in Falmouth, Maine, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Johanna (Hendricks) Olsen, she lived in Somerset and Fairhaven most of her life.
Mrs. Perry was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairhaven.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of the Oaks Nursing Home and Allegiance Hospice for taking such good care of Mildred.
Survivors include a son, Morton R. Downing and his wife Madeline of Fairhaven; a brother, Homer Olsen of Bradley, ME; 3 grandchildren, Todd Downing, Neil Downing and Nicole Merusi; 3 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Calvin and Lila; several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Weston L. Downing and grandmother of the late Weston Downing.

Her Private Funeral Service was held Friday, August 15th in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford.
