Obituary

Mina Baccelli, 77, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 14, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong advocate for others, Mina built a life defined by compassion, dedication, and joy.

Mina spent her career helping people through her work with the Department of Social Services, first as a standard case worker and later found passion in foster home placement. Her commitment to supporting individuals and families was unwavering, and the impact of her work will continue to be felt by the many lives she touched. She furthered her passion for service through her education, earning both a Master of Social Work and a Master of Business Administration -accomplishments that reflected her determination, intelligence, and deep sense of purpose.

She had a deep love for traveling, especially to Italy, where her family originated and where relatives still reside. Mina cherished each visit, reconnecting with her roots and the people she held so close to her heart. She also had a remarkable knack for languages, effortlessly picking up new phrases wherever she went and embracing the cultures she encountered.

Her love of adventure was matched only by her sunny spirit-she was often seen wearing one of her beloved Hawaiian shirts on her many tropical vacations and during the warm New England months. Those who knew her will forever remember her vibrant presence and her joy in exploring the world.

Above all, Mina was an exceptionally loving grandmother, a role that brought her immense pride and happiness.

Mina is survived by her devoted spouse, Wayne Genereux; her son, Chris Perry, and his wife, Amy Ruggiero; her cherished granddaughter, Ashley Perry; her cousin, Michael Gagliardi; and her sister-in-law Sue Baccelli and her two sons Nicholas and Peter. Mina is now resting peacefully with her brother Peter Baccelli and aunt Albina Gagliardi. She will be remembered always for her kindness, her adventurous heart, and the countless lives she helped along the way.

According to her wishes, private services will be held.
