Nancy J. (Brown) Parker, 68, of Acushnet died June 19, 2011 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of the late Walter R. Parker, Jr.
Born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Walter and Hilda (DaCosta) Brown, she lived in Acushnet most of her life.
Mrs. Parker was formerly employed as a Home Health Aide with St. Luke's Hospital for many years until her retirement.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include a daughter, Doreen Robinson of New Bedford; three brothers, Roy Brown of Fairhaven, Dr. Stephen Brown of Milford, CT, and Gary Brown of Mattapoisett; her father-in-law, John Chamberlain of Fairhaven; three grandchildren, Rita, Renee, and Alfred; two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Eric; her companion, Joseph Sylvia of Acushnet; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Her visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Service at 8 PM.
