Natalio DeBarros

Natalio DeBarros, 75, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2026. He was the loving husband of Domingas "Mimi" DeBarros for 51 years.

Born in Fogo, Cape Verde, son of the late Cesario and Amelia (Pina) DeBarros, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Natalio was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He enjoyed taking care of the house and helping friends and family with remodeling their homes. Natalio was a wealth of knowledge and was a natural teacher. He loved to cook and feed everyone. He had a great sense of humor and loved to listen to music and dance.

Natalio worked for Algar Construction for 16 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mimi; his children, Kelly, Grace, and Naython DeBarros; his siblings, Maria Silveira, Antonia Pina, Damiao DeBarros, Felipe DeBarros, Daniel DeBarros, Laura Barros, Zedy DeBarros, Tony DeBarros and Steve DeBarros; his grandchildren, La'cron Williams, Xylanei Williams, Nalah Bara, Isaiah Bara, Jeremiah Bara, and Curtis Paige, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Aguenelo and Frank DeBarros.

Natalio's Funeral will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford follow by his prayer service in the Funeral Home at 10 AM and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
