Nicole M. Johnson, 57, of New Bedford passed away Friday April 4, 2025.

Born in New Bedford Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Janice (Affonseca) Johnson and William T. Johnson. Nicole's love for music led her to many years living in New York and her love for adventure and growth also landed her in Atlanta, Georgia. She returned home to New Bedford in recent years to be closer to her family. Nicole had a great love for family, music, but foremost her God. She spent many of her days bringing family together with her infectious smile and spirit. She will always be remembered for constantly humming and singing as well as her soft soothing tone that could bring calm and solace to any situation. She was a shining light that was loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her mother, Janice of New Bedford; her father, William and his wife Vale of Yorktown, Virginia; her brothers, William Johnson, Jr., Mark Johnson, and Tyrone Johnson and his wife Carmen, all of New Bedford, and Sean Pamplona and his wife, Merline of Boynton Beach, Florida; many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

She was the granddaughter of the late Eugenia and Augustus Affonseca of New Bedford and Virginia and Clifford Johnson of Newport RI.

Her visitation will be held on Friday April 11th from 8-10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her funeral service at 10 AM.  Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.  For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
