Olivia L. (Linhares) Lima, 94, of Dartmouth passed away Monday June 3, 2024 at the Royal of Fairhaven surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Aristides Linhares Lima.

Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria da Gloria (de Melo) Linhares.  She and her family immigrated to the United States in 1969, first settling in New Bedford and later moving to Dartmouth in 1974.

Mrs. Lima was formerly employed at Bristol Electronics until her retirement.

A devout Catholic, she was very devoted to the Blessed Mother.  She was an excellent cook, always providing delicious meals and baked goods for her family and friends. She also enjoyed art and painting.

She is survived by four children, Gloria Linhares Pamplona and her husband Kenneth of New Bedford, John Linhares Lima and his wife Judith of Dartmouth, Nelson Linhares Lima and his wife Ronna of Fairhaven, and Joseph Linhares Lima and his wife Laurie of Dartmouth; two sisters, Madalena Linhares Serpa and Gloria Linhares Teves; seven grandchildren, Jason Pamplona, Kristie Costa and her husband Jeremy, Bradford Pamplona and his wife Linda, and Adam, Alexandra, Colby, and Hannah Lima; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Angelo Linhares and Joao Paulino Rita.

Her funeral will be held on Monday June 10th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford at 10 AM. Burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be on Sunday June 9th from 2-5 PM.
