Orlando C. "Chico" Ocano, 67, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ruffino and Providencia (Gonzalez) Gonzalez-Ocano. Orlando was raised in Paterson, NJ and lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Orlando loved salsa music and dancing. He had a big heart and would take care of everyone around him. He loved to make food for all of his neighbors.

Orlando served in the U.S. Army and the Massachusetts National Guard for over 10 years.

Survivors include his children, Celines Cisneros and her fiancé Matthew, and Orlando Ocano, Jr., and his wife Kim; his siblings, Damaris Gonzalez, David Gonzalez, Marisol Barboza and Louis Ocano; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Orlando's memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 15th from 1-5PM in the Fairhaven VFW Post 2892.
