Pamela A. Karalekas, 62, of Manchester, NH, died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Bedford Hills Center after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Demo and Beverly (Silva) Karalekas, she was raised in New Bedford and moved to New Hampshire in 1988.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1979, and later graduted from Emerson College, Class of 1983, with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication.
Prior to moving to New Hampshire, Pam was employed at The Standard-Times and the New Bedford Women's Center.
Pam loved her brother dearly and enjoyed spending time with her two close friends and extended family. She enjoyed listening to music and freelance writing. She enjoyed the peace and tranquility she found in Sugar Hill NH, where she enjoyed visiting frequently. Fishing with her two best friends always brought lots of laughs and good memories. She was an avid Patriots fan and you could frequently find her commenting on all their plays.
She is survived by her brother, Dean Karalekas and his partner Kat Steward. Pam is also survived by her niece and Goddaughter, Jamie Nussman, and was proud her and her accomplishments.
Pam will be remembered as a loyal, loving friend who always had an ear to listen to others and give support when needed. Her sarcasm and humor will be greatly missed by those who loved her dearly.
