Patricia A. (Soares) Cabral, 71, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was the wife of the late Steven P. Cabral.

Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alvida (Ribeiro) Soares, she was raised in Fairhaven and lived most of her life in New Bedford.

Patti enjoyed reading, coloring, family gatherings, spending time with her dogs, and taking her nieces and nephews anywhere and everywhere. She worked for Shepard Clothing for 23 years until they closed and then worked for Lifestream.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa M. Cabral of New Bedford; her brother, Lawrence Soares and his wife Susan Soares; her sister Tracy Soares; Shea Michael Cabral who was like a son to her; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister Nancy Pemberton.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
