Patricia Mae (Silva) Camille, of New Bedford, died Sunday, August 27, 2023 after a period of declining health. She spent her last days surrounded by her loving family.

Pat was born on March 28, 1943, in New Bedford, MA, to the late Manuel and Rose Silva. She graduated New Bedford High School in 1961. She was recognized by many when she was out and about, from her many years working at Shaws on Kings Highway and before that, Ashmont, up until the time it closed.

In her free time, Pat found solace in various hobbies. She had a knack for knitting and created beautiful pieces with her skilled hands. Pat also adored spending time with her beloved grandchildren, helping them to create lasting memories with their "Granny" that will be cherished forever. She took delight in watching old TV shows, especially crime shows, trying to solve the mysteries. Pat was an avid reader and loved to challenge herself with crossword puzzles.

Pat will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth W Camille, Jr. and his wife Brittany of Danville, NH, and Kevin J Camille and his wife Dawn of Fairhaven; her grandchildren Nikki Miller of Cranston, RI, KC and Winter Camille of Danville, NH and Harrison and Kaden Camille of Fairhaven; her sister Sandra A. Wood (Silva) of Rochester; her nieces Donna Wolfe and Laurie Zell and their families; her great-grandchildren Tesla and Jaylee.

Pat's sweet laugh, adorable hugs and quick wit will always be remembered. Her legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 7, 2023 from 4-7:00PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) or Cure Alzheimer's Fund.
