Paul J. "Spud" Girouard, 90, of New Bedford died Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Henry and Helen (Allain) Girouard, he lived in New Bedford for all of his life.

Paul was formerly employed as a bricklayer for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his friend of 75 years, Joe Jardin and his wife Georgie; his sister-in-law, Cecile Girouard; two nieces; and a nephew.

He was predeceased by his brother, Henry Girouard and his sister, Cecilia LeBlanc.
