Paul Thomas Muldoon of New Bedford passed away on Friday April 3, 2026 after a brief illness at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Francis J. and Bernadette E. (Goulet) Muldoon.
Kind, patient and happy, Paul was the center of his large family and remained right in everyone’s heart throughout his life. He loved music and danced beautifully. Paul would often refer to himself as “our angel”, as he was completely devoted to reminding those closest to him of all life’s blessings and the importance of family.
In his younger years, Paul was active in programs at the ARC Center for Children on Smith Street, that his parents were instrumental in establishing. He later was involved with the LifeStream work program where he established many friendships with co-workers and support staff.
Paul is survived by his devoted siblings, Bernadette Muldoon, Francis Muldoon, Michael Muldoon and his wife Betty, and Dennis Muldoon and his wife Martha; his sister-in-law, Theresa Muldoon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the younger brother of the late Mark Muldoon.
Paul will be greatly missed by all.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 11th at 10 AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday April 10th from 4-7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to the Missionaries of Charity, 556 County St., New Bedford, MA 02740. For online condolence book, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
