Paul H. Reed, 65, of Acushnet passed away suddenly on Sunday September 14, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Barbara L. (Neagus) Przystas and the late Theodore S. Przystas, he lived in Acushnet all of his life.

Paul was formerly employed by the New England Plastics Corporation.

Paul was devoted to his family, and was especially dedicated in assisting with his mother's care.  He was active with his great-nieces and great-nephew, always there for them when getting off the school bus. He loved his hometown of Acushnet, and kept up-to-date with town activities. He was always listening to his police scanner, keeping his family and friends notified of any recent emergency calls for police, fire, and EMS. He was also an avid scratch ticket enthusiast.

His family would like to thank the staff of Coastline Elderly for the services they provided for Paul.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara; his brothers, Rodney Reed and Alvin Reed; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and close friends.

He was predeceased by his sister, Beverly LeBlanc.

His funeral service will be held on Friday September 19th at 11 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.  Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 10-11 AM prior to the service.
