Pedro A. Santiago, 53, of New Bedford died Thursday May 7, 2009 at a Boston Hospital after battling a long term illness.

Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Francisco Santiago and Petra Nunez.

He enjoyed fishing, detailing cars, playing his guitar, and spending time with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife, Elba Rivera; four children, Jose, Alberto, Iany, and Blanca; a grandson, Kendyn; his mother-in-law, Vincenta Rosario; and two daughters-in-law, Desaree and Nicole.
