Peter J. Clattenburg, 57, of Dartmouth died Tuesday August 5, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Caroline (Ramos) Clattenburg and the late Ernest R. Clattenburg, he lived in Dartmouth all of his life.

He was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.

Peter was formerly employed as a systems operator for the Town of Dartmouth Wastewater Department until his retirement.

He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and Bristol Community College. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his mother; two sisters, Ann M. Correia of Henderson, NV and Carolyn H. DeSouza of Dartmouth; two nieces, Lauren Correia and Kendra Evangelho; a nephew, Steven Correia; several cousins; and many special friends.

He was the brother of the late James E. Clattenburg and Helen M. Clattenburg.
