Precilia Crisostomo

Precilia (DeBarros) Crisostomo, 101, of Peabody passed away at home on Friday July 3, 2026.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Henrique and Martiniana (DaRosa) DeBarros, she came to the United States in 1958, living in New Bedford before moving to Taunton and Lynn and later to Peabody.

Precilia was formerly employed as a packer at Rennie's Curtain Factory in Taunton.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Crisostomo; her brother, Jorge DeBarros; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna DeBarros, Joseph H. Barros, John DeBarros, Edward Barros, Viriato DeBarros, and Henrique DeBarros, Jr.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 11th at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 8AM - 9:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
