Ramon L. "Raymond" Santiago, 53, of New Bedford died March 10, 2026 unexpectedly at Rhode Island.Born in Chicago, IL, son of Rosa (Arguinzoni) Saldana of New Bedford and the late Genaro Saldana Santiago, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.Raymond was employed by Trandwinds Cleaning Service company inc for 40+ years.He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing with his best friend Milton Mendza on his boat, playing bean bag toss with his son and friends, also playing horseshoes with his league and having family cookouts and cooking for friends and family events. Raymond will always be remembered for his bright smile, generosity and his contagious love. He was also known for his WORLD FAMOUS PERNIL (pork shoulder). Survivors include his mother Rosa; his girlfriend, Christy Dina Rebeiro of New Bedford; 3 sons, Joel Santiago and his wife Narayah, of North Carolina, Ramon Santiago, Jr. and Adryan Santiago, both of New Bedford; a daughter, Aleesia Santiago of Washington; Albert Rebeiro, who was a father figure and mentor to him; a brother, Orlando Santiago of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Evelyn Cruz of New Bedford and Rosa Santiago and her husband Miguel Agosto of Puerto Rico; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alvin Santiago and Genaro Santiago, Jr. His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 10:30 AM in the First Church of the Nazarene, 764 Hathaway Rd. New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 13th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
