IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randolph W.
Rowland
May 27, 1950 – October 27, 2025
Randolph "Randy" Wayne Rowland, 75, of Marion, MA died peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA following a 2-year battle with respiratory illness. Randy leaves behind his wife, Deborah "Debbie" Grace (Hussey) Rowland, his daughter Amanda "Mandy" Alyssa Hastings (James), and his beloved grandson, Foster Preston Hastings of Mattapoisett, MA, as well as his sister, Gwenda Lee Sublette (Larry Connor) of Valdosta, GA. He is predeceased by his mother, Minnie Lee "Mickey" Rowland, his father Foster Montgomery "FM" Rowland, and his brothers Clint and Jack.
Born in Valdosta, GA on May 27, 1950, Randy was a self-proclaimed outlaw who loved music, reading, and all things about the natural world. He had the nickname of "Dr. Doolittle" because of the way he managed to woo little woodland creatures. When he was well, he put his occupation as a carpenter to work creating little wood projects, or he would spend time picking at his guitar or harmonica. Everyone knew him for his BBQ, especially his ribs and pulled pork, doused with his own homemade version of "Uncle Charlie's BBQ Sauce." He was a soft-spoken man with a twinkle in his eye and an unexpectedly vast knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. One of his favorite quotes was, "Why do I have to know everything?" Above all else, he deeply loved his wife, Debbie, his soulmate, to whom he was married twice, and his grandson, Foster, his "Sugar Boy," who was his pride and joy.
In accordance with his wishes, Randy was cremated and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date. For online guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
