Raymond F. King, 77, of New Bedford died Saturday January 21, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Frances M. (Porter) King and the late Jeannette M. (LePage) King.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Raymond F. and Mary (Ventura) King, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. King was formerly employed as a corrections officer at MCI Bridgewater until his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1962. He was an automobile enthusiast who belonged to various area car clubs. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
He is survived by his son, Derek King; his sister, Louise Pargoza; and two grandchildren, Noah and Aden King.
He was the father of the late Randall D. King.
