Richard A. "Ricky" Ramos, 68, of New Bedford passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel and Sabina (Gomes) Ramos, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.

Ricky was formerly employed as a maintenance person at the William H. Carney Lodge.

He enjoyed watching all of the New England sports teams and going on trips with his staff members.  He attended the day program at Active Day of New Bedford.

His family would like to thank the staff of Better Community Living for over 35 years of loving care and assistance shown to Ricky, especially Josh Jones, Camanche Ray, and many others.

He is survived by his sisters, Marcia M. Williams and her husband Lenny, and Donna Grace; numerous cousins; and his extended family from Better Community Living.
