Robert P. "Bob" Dragon, Sr., 77 of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of New Bedford passed away on April 23, 2024 after a period of declining health. He was married for 59 years to his love and best friend Lorraine (Holmes) Dragon. He was the son of Joseph and Juliet Dragon.

Bob was a 1965 graduate of the New Bedford Vocational High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran.  He was Employed by Giusti, Nissen, and Sunbeam bakeries as a maintenance technician until retiring to Florida. He had many part time jobs and hobbies. Woodworking, gardening and fishing were his favorites. He also loved spending time with family.

Bob is survived by his wife; his son, Robert Dragon, Jr. and partner Lloyd Bennett of New Bedford; his daughter Rosemarie Charles and husband Michael Charles of Acushnet; and his grandchildren, Brandon Charles and Taylor Charles, both of New Bedford.

A memorial service will be held at The Seaman's Bethel on Friday July 19, 2024 at 10 AM.
