Robert P. Rose, 60, of New Bedford died Monday January 13, 2014 suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Damaris (Andino) Rose.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Aguinel and Benvinda (Ramos Leon) Rose, he lived in New Bedford all his life.

Mr. Rose was employed as a social worker for the Department of Transitional Assistance in New Bedford.

Survivors include his wife; his parents; two children, Robert Fisher-Rose and Amanda Lynn Gonzalez, both of New Bedford; three stepsons, Jay, Marcus, and Philip Ferran, all of New Bedford; his siblings, Michael Rose of Marietta, GA, David E. Rose, Jeffrey L. Rose, and Carol Rose Wills, all of New Bedford; a grandson, Bryce; and nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Olivia Fisher-Rose.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
