Robert James Watkins, 45, of New Bedford died May 5, 2003 unexpectedly at home.

He was the son of Robert A. and Rillis M. (Johnson) Watkins.

Mr. Watkins was born in Urbana, Ohio and lived in New York and Stamford, CT for many years before moving to New Bedford 3 years ago.

He enjoyed watching sports.

Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Malicia Watkins of Westland, Michigan; a sister, Robbie D. Watkins of Stamford, CT; an aunt, Ida Mae Roderick of New Bedford; his maternal grandmother, Verna Johnson of Urbana, Ohio.

His Funeral Services were private.
