Robert A. Wilson, 87, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He was the husband of Dona (Depina) Wilson.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Allan and Jessie Wilson, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.

Robert enjoyed golfing, skiing, and watching all New England sports teams.

He worked for Rodney Metals as a machinist for many years.

Robert served proudly in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Dona; his daughter, Carrie Chace and her husband James of Plainville, CT; his step-children, Richard Durden, Awan Durden, and LaVolta Durden; his grandchildren, Ryan J. Chace and Jamie Lee Chace; and a great-granddaughter Zada Lee Chace Correa.

He is predeceased by his son Robert Wilson, Jr.; and his step-children, Douglas Depina and Lisa Durden.

His memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 28th from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
