Roberta L. (York) McQuade, 77, of Marion, formerly of Fairhaven, died Friday August 2, 2013 at Sippican Health Care Center.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Aiken) York, she lived in Fairhaven for many years.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Fairhaven.

She loved the ocean and going to the beach. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Survivors include a son, Kevin S. McQuade and his wife Darlene of West Wareham; a sister, Hazel Stamo of Florida; and two grandchildren, Laura and Erin McQuade.

She was the sister of the late Gordon York, Estella Wheeler, Betty Strunk, and Edith Chadwick.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday August 10, 2013 at 1 PM at the First Congregational Church of Fairhaven. Visiting hours are omitted.
