Rodney L. Little, 79, of Acushnet died on August 17, 2026 unexpectedly at home.

He was the husband of the late Jacqueline L. (Oliver) Little.

Born in Newport News, VA, son of the late Nogie B. and Elsie M. (Archer) Little. He was the brother of the late Joel 'Buddy' Little and Betty L. (Little) Sweat. He was raised in Poquoson, VA.

Rodney served in the United States Marine Corps. He lived in Acushnet, MA since 1990. He was formerly employed as a commercial scalloper on several fishing vessels in the New Bedford fleet until retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son, William "Billy" C. Reynolds-Segnitz and his wife Patricia "Tresa" A. Reynolds-Segnitz of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Allen 'Roy' Little of Poquoson, VA and Jack L. Little of Poquoson, VA; A sister Carol A. (Little) Scott of York County, VA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Judith L. (Segnitz) Amaral and Robby W. Segnitz and the grandfather of the late Amanda L. Amaral.

His Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 31st at 12:30 PM in the Acushnet Cemetery.
