Roixanne Jones, 63, of New Bedford died May 1, 2013 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Wake Forest, NC, the daughter of the late Lillian Jones, she lived in Pittsburgh, PA and Hartford, CT before moving to New Bedford.
She was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church and a former member of the United House of Prayer For All People.
Roixanne enjoyed singing in church, sewing, travel and being with her family.
Survivors include 4 aunts, Janie Ferrell and Catherine Thomas, both of Hartford, CT, Joyce Williams of Warrenton, NC and Patricia Williams of Pittsburgh, PA; an uncle, Nelson Jones of Jonesville, NC; 2 sisters, Elaine Russell and Rita Russell, both of Pittsburgh, PA; several Godchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 5th at 5 PM in the Bethel A.M.E. Church, 532 County St. New Bedford.
